1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website packetmentor.com and any training, mentorship, or coaching program offered by PacketMentor ("we," "us," "our"). By using the site or enrolling in a program, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or enroll in a program.
2. What we offer
PacketMentor provides independent, non-affiliated training and 1:1 mentorship for computer networking careers, primarily around Cisco CCNA® and CCNP® certification preparation, plus related short courses (Python for network engineers, AI for network operations, Cisco DevNet Associate preparation, and US interview coaching). Details of each program are on the site. We are not a Cisco Authorized Learning Partner or a Cisco Networking Academy — see our Trademarks & Disclaimer for full attribution.
3. Free first session
Every core mentorship program includes a free first session. It is a real working session — not a sales pitch. You are under no obligation to enroll after the free session. No payment details are required to book it. Availability is subject to scheduling capacity.
4. Enrollment, invoicing, and payment
- How enrollment works. After the free first session, if you decide to continue, we send you an invoice for the program (or the first installment of a payment plan).
- Payment methods. We do not collect card details on the site. Invoices are paid by bank transfer or Payoneer. No merchant we do not directly control ever holds your card or bank credentials.
- Payment plans. Core programs may be split into monthly installments as advertised on the Pricing page. No interest is charged. Missed installments beyond 15 days may pause the program until brought current.
- Currency and taxes. All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and are exclusive of any applicable sales tax, VAT, GST, or other transaction taxes, which are your responsibility where applicable.
- Offer pricing. The current offer prices shown on the Pricing page are promotional. Once enrolled at an offer price, you keep that price for the remainder of your program. We may change or withdraw the offer at any time for new enrollments.
5. Refunds and cancellations
- 14-day refund. You may request a full refund within 14 days of your first paid session, no questions asked. Email info@packetmentor.com with the subject "Refund request." Refunds are processed within 10 business days to the original method.
- Prorated after 14 days. After the 14-day window, refunds are prorated based on sessions delivered and program materials accessed. You are billed only for the value you received.
- No-show / late cancellation. Sessions cancelled with fewer than 24 hours' notice may be counted as delivered. We reschedule in good faith when the reason is genuine.
6. "Pass-or-keep-going" commitment
If you complete the program in good faith and do not pass your target exam within the planned timeline, we continue working with you at no additional fee until you pass, subject to the acceptable-use terms below. This is a commitment to continue, not a guarantee of a passing score. Outcomes depend on your effort, prior knowledge, and time commitment. See Section 10.
7. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate contact and billing information.
- Attend scheduled sessions or reschedule with reasonable notice.
- Do the assigned reading and lab work at a good-faith pace.
- Do not share your account, session recordings, or program materials with people who have not enrolled.
- Do not use, share, or reference "brain dumps," leaked exam content, or any material that violates the Cisco Certification and Confidentiality Agreement. Doing so is grounds for immediate termination without refund.
8. Intellectual property
All content on packetmentor.com and in the programs — including lessons, labs, practice questions, diagrams, simulators, videos, and written materials — is owned by or licensed to PacketMentor and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. You receive a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the materials for your own personal study during and reasonably after your enrollment. You may not resell, republish, or redistribute the materials without our prior written permission.

9. Acceptable use of the site
- No automated scraping of the practice exam bank, lesson content, or lab files without permission.
- No attempts to bypass access controls, probe for vulnerabilities without a written scope, or interfere with other users.
- No unlawful, harassing, or defamatory content in messages you send us or in program interactions.
10. No warranties; no guarantees
The site and the training materials are provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, PacketMentor disclaims all express and implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee any specific certification outcome, salary outcome, or job placement. Certification is granted only by Cisco Systems, Inc.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PacketMentor's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the site or a program is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. In no event will we be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold PacketMentor harmless from any third-party claim arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party right.
13. Termination
You may cancel your enrollment at any time by emailing us; refunds are handled per Section 5. We may terminate or suspend your enrollment for material breach of these Terms (for example, use of brain-dump content, non-payment, or abuse of staff), in which case refunds are prorated to the point of termination.
14. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
15. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The parties agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will first be attempted to be resolved by informal negotiation for 30 days after written notice. If unresolved, the dispute will be finally resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, in the English language. The seat of arbitration will be Wilmington, Delaware. Each party will bear its own costs; the arbitrator may allocate them in the final award.
Class-action waiver. To the extent permitted by law, you and PacketMentor agree that any dispute will be resolved on an individual basis, not as a class or representative action.
Small-claims carve-out. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date and, where reasonably practicable, communicated by email to enrolled students. Continued use of the site or a program after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Trademarks & Disclaimer, form the entire agreement between you and PacketMentor regarding the site and the programs and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject.
