Create a VLAN, assign an access port

Switch SW1 is a Cisco 2960 with 8 FastEthernet ports and 2 GigabitEthernet uplinks. All ports currently sit in VLAN 1. Create VLAN 10 named Engineering, assign Fa0/1 as an access port on VLAN 10, then verify with show vlan brief.

Create a VLAN in global config: vlan 10. This enters VLAN-config mode where you can name Engineering.
